About Tondo Motors
Tondo Motors is an East African electric mobility company founded in 2022 in Kampala, Uganda by Mulindwa Adinan Tondo
What started as a small home-based brokerage focused on reliable Japan-used motorcycles quickly grew into a trusted regional brand. Through consistent service, transparent dealings, and a deep understanding of riders’ real challenges, we built a loyal customer base and successfully exported to Kenya, South Sudan, and Tanzania.
Over time, we witnessed firsthand the daily struggles faced by riders: unpredictable fuel prices that swallowed hard-earned income, frequent breakdowns that stole time and money, high maintenance costs, and toxic fumes that affected health and communities.
This experience led us to make a deliberate and timely transition — moving fully from fossil-fuel motorcycles to premium electric motorcycles. We believe this is the right moment for Africa: battery technology is advancing rapidly, electricity costs are stable and low, and the need for cleaner, smarter mobility has never been greater.
Today, Tondo Motors operates a flagship showroom on Ndeeba Street in Kampala (next to Meru Petrol Station, Arcade Plaza, ground level, shops 8 & 9). We specialize in electric motorcycles that deliver 60–70% lower daily costs, near-zero maintenance, zero tailpipe emissions, and silent, powerful performance on African roads.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to make electric mobility accessible and convenient for everyone — students, workers, families, delivery riders, and businesses — by providing quality electric vehicles and supporting infrastructure like charging stations and battery swapping networks. We exist to end the burden of fuel dependency and replace it with freedom, savings, cleaner air, and dignity — one electric ride at a time.
